Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1973,

I was always surrounded by music.

My Mom would play records until late at night and dance to it.

One of my favorite things to do as a child

was to sit next to our radio and just listen for hours.

​

I wrote my first song at the age of 5.

My first music teacher was Mr. Ali Jackson,

a true jazz legend and family friend.

Together with his sons, who became well-known

musicians as well, he taught me musical theory

and through that a spiritual connection to music and life.

As I moved on with my musical journey, I taught myself

to play the guitar which has enabled me to truly express my soul.

I take my favorite songs and bring them to life in a way

I feel they're intended to: with love, compassion and truth.

This is my lifelong journey and I'm happy to take you along.
